Introduction:
With a vast selection of front panels available on the market today, it can be difficult choosing the
one that best suits a variety of needs. There are individual front panels for fan control, thermal
monitoring, digital camera card readers, and front input/output panels for audio, video, and USB. In the
past you had to purchase and install a couple of front panels to do some of the more common tasks
computer users need today. Thanks to Sunbeam’s 20-in-1 Superior Panel, those days are gone. It’s a
card reader, fan controller, thermal monitor, and provides input/output connectivity of audio, video,
USB, Firewire, and Serial ATA (SATA), all in a single 5.25" space. Today at MTB we take a closer look at
this little marvel.

The Sunbeam 20-in-1 Superior Panel comes in an attractive well laid out retail box. The pictures and
text printed on the box provide a good description of what’s inside and its functions.

The inner packaging is made from a strong durable plastic similar to that used for packaging hard drives.
One section contains the panel, and the other section holds all of the accessories. My sample’s outer
box had a crumpled corner, but the inner packaging was unaffected, this is good for online purchases
that involve shipping.

Sunbeam has included all the cables, mounting screws, labels, PCI pass through plate, jumpers, zip ties,
driver disk, and a well laid out, easy to follow instruction manual, to get your panel up and running.
