I was slightly taken back at the sheer size and weight of this unit, as it reminds me of a single 120mm water
cooling radiator, and weighing in at 795g, (without the fan) it is one of the more heavier CPU cooler solutions
currently on the market today. All that aside, it is a well constructed piece, with an all copper base, and
6 copper heat pipes rising up into the aluminum heat fins. Cooler Master has a long standing history of being
a company that produces top quality products, and the Hyper 6 + is no different.
In the lab today will be installing the Hyper 6+ on an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe with an Athlon XP 2600+ (Barton Core)
that is mildly overclocked to 2.1GHZ, into a full, and mid-tower case, and addressing airflow and issues
if any.

Let’s start with the installation of the Cooler Master Hyper 6+; you will need a #1 and a #2 Philips screwdriver.
Cooler Master has added a little protection for the base of the cooler by way of a peel off sticker that must be
removed. The installation manual could be better, but anyone skilled enough to work on their own computer can
quickly understand the installation procedure. First you must select the proper adapter plate, and then there are
four screws that need to be installed by turning the screws counterclockwise, as they are a “left handed thread”.
