MODTHEBOX would like to thank Jeff from Raidmax
for providing the Raidmax X1 Mid-Tower Gaming Case for review.
Introduction:
Raidmax is a recognized global leader and innovator in the PC enclosure industry. One of the assets of
the company is a world-class research and development division that has been creating some of the most
sought after PC enclosure designs. Part of the success is a state of the art manufacturing facility
that creates products that are unparalleled in quality, reliability, and performance. Most consumers
including myself have been reasonably impressed with the style of some of Raidmax's latest cases such
as the Samurai Mid-Tower Gaming Case. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be taking a look at the latest
product offering from Raidmax, the X1 Mid-Tower Gaming Case.
Specifications:
The X1 Mid-Tower Gaming Case is available in both black and white for your viewing pleasure. The case
is designed for the usual ATX and mini-ATX format motherboards. The real standout feature of this case
is the built in temperature and fan speed display and the screw less drive mounting mechanism. Here are
some specifications taken from the Raidmax website:

The Raidmax X1 Mid-Tower Gaming Case arrived in a rather flashy looking box with the front panel centered
on the art work, as well as the relevant size specs and different colors printed on the sides. The box
itself was in good condition but the case didn't fare quite so well. The rear center of the case seemed
to have taken a shot or two in shipping despite the hefty foam packing and the side panels were slightly
bent at the back. Nonetheless a couple of seconds of finger prying and judicious use of a screwdriver
handle fixed it up nicely.

The overall style of the case is fairly pleasing to the eye, with a large aluminum bezel on the case's
front door. The aluminum doubles as the handle to open the door, since it just out over the left side
about half an inch. The rest of the front is made of white plastic. The white panels of the case feature
a fairly standard white painted over steel finish. Not particularly reflective, and the white of the
case and the plastic of the bezel sadly do not match. No thumbscrews are present anywhere on the case.
