Out of the box, the Samsung SyncMaster 930BF TFT-LCD monitor looks aesthetically pleasing and has been designed with a black exterior accented with silver highlights. The SyncMaster 930BF measures approximately 422.7mm (W) x 427.7 mm (H) x 200mm (D) and has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024. The total viewable image size of the LCD measures 19 inches with a pixel pitch of 0.294mm and contrast ratio of 700:1. One of the unique aspects of the 930BF is that it incorporates Samsung's new RTA (Response Time Accelerator) Technology. RTA works in conjunction with a feature called Magic Speed to provide fast image processing for vivid and precise quality on digital movies. The Samsung SyncMaster 930BF TFT-LCD includes a very low response time of 4ms (Gray-to-Gray) that produces exceptionally clear digital images without any ghosting.

The Samsung SyncMaster 930BF TFT-LCD Monitor has a series of small external black buttons which allow the adjustment of the monitor settings. The buttons are located under the bottom portion of the LCD display and offer simple monitor functions including Auto Adjustment, On Screen Display, and MagicBright2.

The Samsung SyncMaster 930BF TFT-LCD Monitor has been designed to be low profile when placed on the flat surface of a table. What is disappointing with this particular design is the lack of ergonomic features such as a retractable base which allow this unit to be easily tucked away for transport. The 930BF also offers no height adjustment, but it can be positioned at a maximum viewable angle of 160 degrees. The 930BF is attached to a plastic circular base which supports the weight of the unit. The plastic circular base is secured to the 930BF via a small screw which resides on the bottom of the LCD.
