At the rear of the SyncMaster 930BF is a detachable rear panel used for cable management. Consumers can easily
route their cables at the base of the LCD. In the hidden compartment is the location for a power adapter, 15-pin
VGA connection and DVI (Digital Visual Interface) connection. I was pleased to see the inclusion of a DVI port since this
re-enforces the idea of using this product in a dual monitor configuration.

As part of the feature set, the Samsung SyncMaster 930BF TFT-LCD Monitor includes an On Screen Display that
provides easy access to the configuration options. The menu system is well designed, easy to navigate and
covers all the basic settings such as vertical and horizontal positioning, video source toggling, OSD
(On Screen Display), image size, auto tuning as well as brightness and contrast settings. The Natural Color
application software is an easy to use management system that assists consumers in monitor image alignment on
screen or via print. An easy to use wizard guides you through the menu options where you can make the
necessary adjustments for your own personal preference.

Testing:
The Samsung SyncMaster 930BF TFT-LCD Monitor was run through a series of applications at different resolutions
ranging from 2D and 3D programs, DVD's, and games. Overall performance was excellent when connected to an Albatron
Gigi FX5900XTV 128MB Video Card and an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro with no ghosting issues noted. While the 930BF sports
a lower contrast ratio of 700:1, I was impressed with the overall clarity of the display image using all 2D
applications.

There are additional enhancements that provide more functionality to the Samsung SyncMaster 930BF TFT-LCD Monitor.
MagicBright2 allows consumers to select the best viewing environment with six viewing modes provided; Document,
Internet, Games, Sports, Movie, and Customized. I switched to Movie mode while testing the 930BF using CyberLink
PowerDVD6. I had no issues while watching Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi, all the colours were vibrant and playback
was very smooth. Half Life 2 was selected as the game of choice to really test the 4ms claim and the RTA Technology.
Gamers will not be disappointed with the performance of the 930BF, no dead pixels and very quick response times when
gaming.

Conclusion:
Samsung continues it long standing tradition of providing high quality LCD-TFT monitors for its popular
SyncMaster product line. The SyncMaster 930BF marks a new direction for the company where a strong emphasis
has been placed on marketing to the gaming community. Consumers will appreciate the sleek black and silver
design and easy to navigate On Screen Display menu options. This product has been enhanced with the inclusion
of Response Time Accelerator Technology, MagicBright2 and software application Natural Color. MagicBright2 is a
great feature that offers a set of easy to use pre-defined menu settings that can be configured to suit any
specific type of application or environment. Finally, the inclusion of a DVI (Digital Visual Interface) simplifies
the process of using the 930BF in a dual monitor configuration. The only negative aspect of this product is
lack of height adjustment options or any ergonomic features. I would have loved to see a retractable base added to
this product as used in the 172T and 192T models which simplifies the process of transporting this unit.
Overall, the SyncMaster 930BF is a decent mid-level LCD monitor that should appeal to those consumers looking
for the perfect component for their gaming systems. I an awarding this product a final rating of
8.5 out of 10. If you have any questions regarding
