Installation of the optical, floppy, and hard drives is simple and straightforward thanks to a tool-less drive rail system. The drive rails are colour coded, and they are as follows. The metal ones are for optical drives, blue for floppy drives and black for hard drives. After selecting and installing the appropriate rail onto the device, simply line up the rail into the slot and push the device in until it locks into place.

The hard drive cage holds a total of four hard drives, and makes installation or the frequent swapping of hard drives simple and trouble free, by using the same rail system as the optical and floppy drives. The hard drive cage can be removed or left in the case when installing the hard drives. Removal of the hard drive cage is done by removing a thumbscrew and pushing down on the tab and pulling the cage forward, a truly tool-less solution. Note the perforated venting areas around the hard drive cage.

The PCI slot blanks are easily removed by pushing them out as needed, but the included I/O plate requires screwdriver to remove. NZXT has done a great job up until this point to make this a tool-less design. If NZXT had included a couple of thumbscrews to hold the PCI cards in place, and not required a screwdriver to remove an I/O plate, this chassis would have truly been a tool-less installation.
