Before I even started this review, I was biased against the e2100’s due to currently owning both the Klipsch
Pro Media V2-400’s and a set of Logitech z5500’s. I never gave speaker systems in this price range a second thought,
until now. Once I received the Edifier e2100 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System, I had to rethink my negative opinion,
read on for more details.

One of the first things I noticed was the styling of the satellites. The housing is constructed from plastic and has
a nice gloss white finish. They come with a separate clear piece of plastic that can be installed on the front if so
desired. Another nice touch is the simple but functional aluminum pedestals that have anti slip pads installed on
the bottom of them.

Another impressive feature is the vinyl wrapped MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) subwoofer enclosure. Most of the systems
in this price range use particle board for their enclosures. Particle board is a cheaper solution, but at the sake of
sound colouring due to "ringing" or what is known as resonance, MDF does not suffer from this. The front of the subwoofer
face is simple yet stylish with an orange LED power on indicator, and triangular control knobs.
