Introduction:
The combination of high performance computing and the art of overclocking to push components far beyond
the manufactures suggested specifications have provided great achievements for not only for hardware
architecture over the last year but enthusiasts as well. In a competitive consumer market, more and
more products are being revised to earn your potential dollar. Two years ago Corsair started to market
its popular XMS3200LL Pro Series Twinx Kit which combined its low latency memory modules with 18 activity
LEDs. The company has recently taken the next logical step in appealing to hardcore gaming enthusiasts
with the release of the XMS Xpert product line. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new
Corsair Xpert TWINXP1024-3200XL DDR Memory Kit designed for dual channel DDR supporting motherboards.
Specifications:
The Corsair Xpert TWINXP1024-3200XL DDR Memory Kit is one of several different memory modules packages
available on the Corsair website. This kit is a matched pair of memory modules and has been designed to
specifically work for motherboards using chipsets with dual memory channels. Here are some

The Corsair Xpert TWINXP1024-3200XL DDR Memory Kit arrived in a colourful Perspex package suitable for
retail display. On the front of the package, you see the Xpert TWINXP1024-3200XL DDR Memory modules as
well as standard product advertising. On the back of the package, there is a summarized list of
industry awards and quotes from a few well known hardware tech sites. All the modules are protected in
a polystyrene liner that is included in the package.

The Corsair Xpert TWINXP1024-3200XL DDR Memory Kit includes a 2-page reference sheet which details a
7-step process for installing these modules on a motherboard. The instructions are complimented with 6
reference diagrams which cover the procedure for installation. The instructions have also have been
translated into four other different languages including German, Spanish, French and Italian. Included
with the 2-page reference sheet is an application CD with Corsair's Memory Dashboard software.
Out of the packaging, my first impressions of the Corsair Xpert TWINXP1024-3200XL DDR Memory Kit were
very positive. The Corsair Xpert TWINXP1024-3200XL DDR Memory Kit builds upon the foundation of the
original XMS3200LL Pro Series Twinx Memory Kit and features a unique aesthetic look sporting black XMS
aluminum heatsinks with colourful lettering on both sides.
