In order to deal with air circulation issues, the external shell of Lascala SST-LC16M HTPC Case has been fitted with custom mesh grills on both the left and right hand sides. This is huge improvement over previous Lascala models which used a series of drilled ventilation holes for cooling. Unfortunately both mesh grills are permanently affixed to the external shell and cannot be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

Towards the bottom of the case is an additional intake vent that draws in cool air from dual front mounted 92mm cooling fans. In each corner of the Lascala SST-LC16M HTPC Case are four metal flat feet which keep the case stationary when positioned on a flat surface. The feet resemble the same type of setup used on Hi-Fi stereo equipment. All feet are coloured black and accented with silver highlights.

The rear of the Lascala SST-LC16M HTPC Case has been sanctioned off into two sections with the PSU mount on the very right. The PSU mount is very accommodating allowing consumers to install a full size ATX PSU of their choice to handle the demands of power hungry components. To the left of the PSU mount is the location for dual 80mm fan mounts which operate at 2050 RPM with a noise level of 23.5 dBA. Below the 80mm fans is the location of an ATX I/O back plate which will fit most standard motherboards. The ATX I/O back plate includes all the necessary cut outs for serial, parallel, video, USB, mouse, keyboard, onboard LAN and integrated sound. To the right of the ATX I/O back plate is the location for 7 PCI/AGP slots. The tabs covering the slots can be easily removed once the motherboard has been mounted.
