Introduction:
The CPU or central processing unit is known as the heart and soul of most computer systems. Technology
dictates that as consumers we witness advancement in terms of design and power every two years. Intel
and AMD are both the current forerunners in the processor market with each company releasing new products
every year. In order to keep, these processors’ running at their optimum levels requires a combination
of good thermal paste and a reliable heatsink cooler. Asetek has been a major player in computer cooling
for quite some time now. As producers of the award winning WaterChill and VaporChill product line,
the company can certainly be attributed with some expertise in system cooling. With new phase change
cooling technologies being incorporated regularly, Asetek has just released its brand new VapoChill
heatsink. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the VapoChill Micro Ultra Low Noise Series Cooler;
a new product that promises easy installation and a quiet performance for the mid-level cooling market.
Specifications:
The VapoChill Micro Ultra Low Noise Series Cooler is one of three different design variations available on the
Asetek website. Consumers have the option of purchasing the VapoChill in the Ultra Low Noise configuration,
High-End configuration or Xtreme configuration. Each configuration has been specially created for a wide variety
of computing environments. The VapoChill Micro has been designed to be cross compatible with both AMD and Intel

The VapoChill Micro Ultra Low Noise Series Cooler arrived sealed in hard plastic retail packaging. The front of the
package highlights some of the new features of the VapoChill Micro while the back portion provides some statistics
and product specifications. The heatsink does not come pre-assembled and based on the type of system you are cooling,
a one page sheet of instructions details to configuration process.

The VapoChill Micro Ultra Low Noise Series Cooler comes bundles with an assortment of accessories which include
the following:

- 4 x Plug pins for easy and fast mounting of fan
- CPU mounting bracket for P4 S478 and AMD S754/939/940 (AMD K8)
- Asetek fan regulator (6-12V / 1-24W)
- 4-pin Molex and 3-pin fan cable
- 1 x Page of installation instructions
Also bundled with the package was the inclusion of an Asetek branded VapoChill Ultra Low Noise 90mm fan. The
Hydro wave bearing fan measures approximately 90mm x 90mm x 25mm and can push 17.657 CFM at 2350 RPM with an
adjustable noise level of 0 to 28 dBA.
