Swiftech in their new extreme version of this kit has the new MCRES-MICRO reservoir; my kit contained their MCRES-525 reservoir, which is designed to fit into a 5.25" drive bay. The reservoir is molded from high-density polyethylene for long term reliability, and is not prone to cracking like some of the older acrylic versions from other manufacturers. The MCRES-525 is manufactured using a blow-molded process, creating a reliable one piece construction eliminating the potential for leaks in the joints found in glued acrylic reservoirs. The stepped down discharge compartment aids in preventing air from getting into the pump. The MCRES-525 uses threaded brass inserts for the drive bay mounting screws eliminating any chance of the reservoir cracking over time due to stress. The threaded inlet and outlet use a standard 3/8 NPT fitting, also the reservoir has two inlet ports allowing the return of two installed water blocks in parallel reducing the overall pressure drop of the system. Swiftech made the reservoir to utilize maximum space available in a 5.25" bay; also the recessed sides in the front section allow the use of 5.25" bay covers.

Included in the kit is 6 ft of high quality 7 1/16 I.D (5/8 O.D) tubing. This tubing looks, bends, and feels like Clearflex/Tygon tubing. Swiftech did not skimp on anything else in this kit, so why should they start now. The idea behind Swiftech using 7 1/16 tubing is as quoted from Swiftech “the 7/16" ID tubing features the same or better flexibility than 3/8" ID tubing, no distinguishable difference in terms of system flow rate compared to 1/2" ID tubing, but significantly reduces the bulk associated with 1/2" ID thick wall tubing. I was able to bend the tubing into a fairly small circle without kinking it.

If your bends need to be a little more radical and have a tendency to kink, not to worry Swiftech have you covered there with 40 feet of their Coolsleeves 625 anti-kink coils. There are various colors of Coolsleeves on the market; the ones supplied in this kit are clear non UV reactive. In the kit you will find a bottle of Swiftech HydraX U.V reactive coolant concentrate, and all the hose clamps you will need for your connections.
