Aside from removing the fittings, the water block cannot be disassembled. However, I was able to take a small look into the secret workings of this water block. Copper ridges increase the surface area between the base and the water. The kit includes 25ml of concentrated anti corrosive material. The bottle was thoughtfully packaged in a zip-lock plastic bag incase of leakage.

The included 120mm DC fan actively cools the fluid. Pushing 65CFM the fan spins at 1700 and is quieter than expected. The fan incorporates a sleeve bearing design and has a standard 3-pin connector. Also included is a white rubber mounting gasket. The bundled radiator is quite large for a single fan design. Its dual pass copper/brass design should do an excellent job of expelling heat from the system while causing little impedance to the water pump. The chromed shroud on the sides double as mounts for the radiator/radiator fan and looks good. The radiator is designed to be mounted on a 120mm case fan location, or an 80mm case fan location using the bundled hardware. This item closely resembled the XSPC R120-S Radiator found on XSPC’s product page.

The submersible 12V water pump is packaged within an acrylic anodized aluminum reservoir. The top acrylic piece has a mounting hole for a bundled blue LED. Compression fittings make up the inlet/outlet holes and a plastic filler plug is threaded securely to the reservoir. From the bottom we see that the pump is secured using suction cups to the bottom piece of acrylic. The pump felt solid on its base and I’m confident that separation is a non-issue. The pump vaguely resembles the XSPC DC1000 on the product page; however this unit is rated at 400 LPH while the DC1000 is rated at 1000 LPH. In either case the pump/reservoir combo looks sharp and makes system priming/maintenance pain-free. I’m disappointed that there is no mounting hardware included to permanently affix this device to the inside of your case.
