A new feature that has been incorporated into the Antec P180 design is the inclusion of a removable fan spoiler. Like the spoilers attached to sports cars, the Antec removable fan spoiler is constructed of formed plastic and mesh material. The unit attaches to the top portion of the case and sits directly on a top 120mm exhaust fan mount. The removable fan spoiler acts as both a fan filter and guide for air circulation.

The back portion of the Antec P180 Advanced Super Mid-Tower features a standard PSU mount, I/O ATX back plate, expansion slots, and a single 120mm fan mount. While the left and right side panels are completely removable, the top panel has been riveted directly to the chassis. The top portion of the P-180 includes an ATX I/O back plate which will fit most standard motherboards and includes all the necessary cut outs for serial, parallel, video, USB, mouse, keyboard, onboard LAN and integrated sound. Next to the ATX I/O plate is the location for a single 120mm exhaust fan. The 120mm exhaust fan is located behind a stamped grill which is integrated into the case frame. Underneath the 120mm fan mount is the location for the 7 PCI/AGP slots and a VGA ventilation duct. The tabs covering the slots can be easily removed once the motherboard has been mounted.

One of the changes to the P-180 chassis is the relocation of the PSU mount towards the bottom instead of the top portion of the case. The orientation of the PSU mount can handle any type of standard ATX power supply including units which use dual fan configurations. One important point to note about the PSU mount is that there are size restrictions which prohibit using larger sized modular PSU's from being installed. The bottom portion of the P180 Advanced Super Mid-Tower features four plastic feet which are positioned in each corner. This is a step back to previous Antec designs which used to incorporate plastic feet which swivel 90 degrees to keep the entire unit stationary.
