In order to gain access to the inside of the P180, two thumb screws must be removed from the back of the case chassis. The inside of the case offers plenty of interior space but does not include a slide-out motherboard option. To assist with case air circulation; Antec has included three 120mm TriCool fans included with the P180. Two additional fan mounts are included for a 120mm fan and 80mm fan but are not included in the package. The TriCool fans measure 120mm x 120mm x 25.4mm and include a 3-speed switch that lets you choose between quiet, standard and maximum cooling. In the Low (quiet) setting the 120mm fans push 39CFM at 1200RPM with a noise level of 25 dBA. The Medium (standard) setting pushes 56CFM at 1600RPM with a noise level of 28 dBA. The High (maximum) setting pushes 79CFM at 2000RPM with a noise level of 30 dBA.

Positioned directly in front of the Antec P180 Advanced Super Mid-Tower are four external 5.25" drive bays which use a drive rail system for mounting external components. The P180 has excellent storage capabilities thanks to dual internal drive mounting cages which exist on both the top and bottom. In order to reduce noise and vibration issues Antec has also added silicone grommets on both sides of each drive cages.

These drive cages are secured by a single thumb screw and are completely removable. Consumers can install a total of 6 hard drives between both cages which is pretty impressive for a mid-tower case. The upper internal 3.5" drive bay has the capacity to hold approximately 2 internal hard drives while the lower internal 3.5" drive bay can handle 4 hard drives. While maximizing all the storage capabilities is sure to generate more additional heat, Antec has placed front fan mounts on both drive cages that can accommodate a 120mm cooling fan.
