MODTHEBOX would like to thank Jakob from Coolink
for sending the Coolink SWiF Fans & Silent Savior for review.
Introduction:
There are many applications that can stress the processor and raise temperatures, but if you had a home entertainment
center which included a personal computer component, fan noise could diminish the entire experience. The personal
computers of today are slightly different from the previous generation of PC's. Today's PC's are used for a wide variety
of tasks in so many different scenarios. For those consumers who hate fan noise but still want modest performance there
is now a silent alternative. Kolink International Corporation is a cooling specialist established in 1996 and well known
among industry insiders. Throughout the years, Kolink designed and manufactured many top-performing heatsinks under
various brand names that succeeded in international markets. Recently, the company has launched its Coolink-Europe
division with the introduction of Coolink branded products. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating an assortment
of Coolink SWiF Fans and the Silent Savior HDD cooler.
Specifications:
Coolink offers the SWiF case fans in 80mm, 92mm and 120mm sizes. Features common to all fans are a rated voltage of 12
volts, high precision double ball bearings and protective cable sleeving. The Coolink Silent Savior HDD Cooler features
super-silent operation (9-16dB/A), outstanding reliability, excellent cooling performance and dead easy installation.

The appearance of the Coolink SWiF fans are slightly different from what you would expect from standard case fans that
are currently on the market. The SWiF or "Silent Whisper Fans" have a nice aesthetic appeal to them and are encased in
a translucent clear housing with blue coloured fan blades. Attached to the base of the fan is a 3-pin fan header that
includes wire leads for 12V (red), ground (black) and RPM sensing (yellow). In the 80mm fan series, Coolink provides
5 different fans but provided models SWiF-801 and SWiF-803. The SWiF-801 is capable of pushing 23-38 CFM at 800-1500
RPM with a noise level of 9-11 dBA. The SWiF-803 is slightly faster than the SWiF-801 and is capable of pushing 30-65
CFM at 1300-2600 RPM with a noise level of 14-26 dBA. As an added bonus the SWiF-803 also includes a PCI mounting
bracket, 3 to 4-pin adapter, fan screws and adjustable fan speed control knob.

The 92 fan series is almost identical to the 80mm series but with different product specifications. There
are 3 different types of 92mm fans available and Coolink provided the SWiF-921 and SWiF-922. The SWiF-921 is capable of pushing 31-55 CFM at
800-1500 RPM with a noise level of 7-18 dBA. The SWiF-922 is slightly faster and is capable of pushing 42-64 CFM at
1100-1800 RPM with a noise level of 12-22 dBA. The SWiF-922 also includes a PCI mounting bracket, 3 to 4-pin adapter,
fan screws and adjustable fan speed control knob.
