My initial impression of the Vantec AVX-100TX AVOX Jukebox was mixed, on one hand we have a useful and versatile product,
but on the other hand it is economically constructed. The entire enclosure is made from plastic with the exception of the
top plate. During this review, the AVOX fell off the bench onto a carpeted floor and it broke apart, luckily the enclosure
and more so the hard drive suffered no ill effects. I suspect this may be a different story if the unit would have landed
on something less forgiving such as concrete. The Vantec AVX-100TX AVOX Jukebox requires the use of expensive laptop hard
drives. One benefit of using a laptop hard drive versus a convectional one is the ability to be powered from a USB cable
while connected to the computer, an additional benefit is that the size is also kept relatively small. On the front portion
of the enclosure there is an IR receiver window, LED lights for power, HDD access, and remote control signal confirmation.
