MODTHEBOX would like to thank Eileen from Samsung Canada
for sending the SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer for review.
Introduction:
The advent of digital photography and the latest technological advancements currently on the market have significantly
changed the way consumers capture events that change their lives. By definition digital photography is art and science
of producing and manipulating digital photographs that are represented as bit maps. Most digital photographs can be
produced directly through digital cameras, captured from the frame of a video or by scanning a conventional photograph.
Once a photograph is in digital format, you can apply a wide variety of special effects to it with image enhancing
software and then send it to a developing studio which will print it out on photographic paper. Enter Samsung
Electronics with the introduction of two new digital quality photo printers designed to cater to the amateur
photographer. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer, an all-in-one
digital photo printing solution.

A quick examination of the package contents revealed that the Samsung SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer is bundled with
one AC power adapter, paper cassette and two user's manuals. Missing from the package despite the product listing was a driver
application CD and USB cables. A useless fold out quick install guide provides a very brief step by step instruction
on product assembly. A secondary manual provides more detailed information on how to use the SPP-2040 with an existing
memory card. While the original package was missing a few essentials to complete a full evaluation of the SPP-2040, I
was able to find a more comprehensive 81 page PDF file
which provided all the information that I was missing as well as both driver and application software.
