Out of the box, my first impressions of the Samsung SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer were positive. The overall design of
SPP-2040 is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and consists of a two piece silver coloured plastic housing. At first
glace its hard not to be impressed by the compactness of the unit measuring a mere 180mm (W) x 136mm (D) x 66mm (H).
Samsung has specifically designed this unit to take up very little desktop space and the SPP-2040 is very light
weight at 2.4 lbs. Like rival digital photo printers currently on the market, the SPP-2040 has the capability to print
4" x 6" color images in approximately 60-75 seconds at a resolution of 300 x 300 dpi. The highlight for this specific
model is that it allows consumers to easily manipulate their photos without the need of a computer. By default the
Samsung SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer Samsung is compatible on Windows and Macintosh platforms and has optional
support for Bluetooth.

At the hilt of the Samsung SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer is a fold away 2" colour LCD screen and a series integrated
controls. On the left hand side are Zoom In and Zoom Out button for cropping or enlarging any digital photograph. In
the center is circular button that allows consumers to easily navigate the built-in menu options. Towards the right
hand side are the Menu, Cancel and Print buttons. Towards the top of the SPP-2040 is the location for a small Power button
that will illuminate blue was the printer is turned on.

In order to cater to different compact flash card formats, Samsung as included a built-in 7-in-1 card reader in the
SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer. The 7-in-1 card reader supports printing from Compact Flash Type I and II,
SmartMedia, Secure Digital, MultiMedia Card, Memory Stick & Memory Stick-PRO, and xD-Picture Cards directly from
the console. Underneath the 7-in-1 card reader is a quick release plastic dust cover that provides
access to the output tray. This is the also same location in which the bundled photo paper tray is also attached.
