The Supernova comes with an installation manual, a driver mini CD, and the usual assortment of screws for mounting the motherboard, optical, and hard drives. As the front panel display of this case requires two USB headers on your motherboard, Kingwin has supplied a USB adapter cable that will convert the header style plug to a standard USB male ended cable that can be plugged into the USB ports on the rear of the motherboard. As is so common with installation manuals, this one lacks detail, and the pictures are not very clear.

My initial impression of the Kingwin Supernova HTPC Case was very positive. With it’s all aluminum construction, sleek and elegant looks the Supernova left me with much anticipation to find out if it’s functionality can measure up to it’s appearance. Due to its reflective accents for the LCD display and DVD ROM covers I had to take the case outside to grab a picture of it, and I feel the picture does not reflect this cases true beauty.

The front left side of the case is where the LCD display, volume control knob and output level LED's, power, temperature, colour, and fan buttons are located. The USB, Audio, and Firewire ports are located behind the folding hide away door. The front right side of the case is where the two hide away doors for the optical drives are, as well as the hide away door for the floppy drive. The piece in the center serves no function, but it does light up blue when the computer is on.
