Introduction:
Since 2000, OCZ Technology has been a staple of high-end, bleeding edge, enthusiast memory. As their website states "Founded by
enthusiasts, for enthusiasts." This statement holds true with their line of successful power supplies as well; the ModStream and
PowerStream. While PSU’s are a departure from high speed memory products, enthusiasts require high-end power products as well.
The latest model to prefix the Stream of power products with the OCZ label, is the GameXStream 600W and 700W Power Supplies. Today
in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the new GameXStream 700W PSU.
Specifications:
The GameXStream 700, is a 700W power supply targeted at the power user and gamer. The unit features a compact design, while
incorporating an illuminated 120mm cooling fan, and a stamped honeycomb grill for exhaust. There are more connectors than
you can shake a peripheral at and every wire is neatly sleeved. Two PCI-e power connectors are supplies for SLI, Crossfire or
dual video card configurations with support for 4 x 12V rails. Here is a list of specifications taken from OCZ Technology

The OCZ GameXStream 700W Power Supply is attractively packaged in a shrink wrapped corrugated cardboard box with deep blue background
and product illustrations. The PSU features and specifications adorn the front and back with max wattage printed on the front, as well
as an SLI marketing sticker.

The box included with OCZ GameXStream is heavy telling me there must be a quality power supply inside. Everything is well packaged
in an orderly fashion. Bubble wrap keeps the PSU safe from dents, scratches and rubbing.
