Introduction:
A few years ago, the term LAN party was pretty much restricted to local gatherings between smaller communities and
groups of individuals. Recently, we have witnessed the explosive growth of this phenomenon in which a LAN party is
now considered part of our popular culture. The LAN party culture has spawned professional gaming leagues, competitions,
clans and even a career for a few talented individuals termed "professional gamers" or "cyber athletes". Nothing beats the heat of
battle, tough competition and the thrill of victory by crushing your opponent's ego. CaseAce Products has been designing
a series of products specifically for the gaming addict and LAN community. Today in the MTB Labs, we provide this
exclusive review of the Gear Grip LANBag, a new transport system which simplifies the process of carrying multiple
LAN accessories.
Specifications:
The Gear Grip LANBag was first announced at the 2002 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. The E3 show is
one of the largest shows in the world dedicated to showcasing the latest entertainment technology and products from various retailers,
distributors, and developers. The product is available in three different colours and is loaded with features designed
specifically for people who need to transport computer accessories and gaming gear. Here are some specifications from

The GearGrip LANBag arrived in standard white cardboard packaging. Inside the box included the LANBag sample surrounded
in a plastic protective bag. The sample that was sent for review was the LANBag red but the unit is also available in
black or charcoal grey.

The first thing that caught my attention on the LANBag was the list of features included with this product. CaseAce has
billed this product as the "Ultimate LAN Gaming Gear Bag" and has advised that this product is capable of withstanding
the harshest LAN party or road trip. The LANBag measures approximately 15mm (W) x19mm (H) and is made of triple stitched
material called US Cordura fabric. If you have never heard of US Cordura, it is a strong fabric material which is
normally used in work boots, backpacks and luggage.
