SilverStone Technology

Introduction:

The SFF or Small Format Factor landscape has gain world wide acceptance as a viable and alternative platform for PC computing. With a huge advantage over traditional mid-tower and server tower cases; the SFF platform is capable of housing a full suite of PC components while minimizing desktop requirements. SilverStone Technology is no stranger to the SFF platform with a wide selection of mATX based cases marketed under the Sugo Series brand name and several Mini-ITX cases marketed under the Lascala Series. The company has recently combined both motherboard formats in a new slim line design dubbed the LC-19. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the SilverStone LC-19 Slim SFF Case designed for MoDT (mobile on desktop) systems.

Also included with the SilverStone LC-19 Slim SFF Case is a fold out installation manual provides step by step assembly of the case including motherboard, optional 40mm fan mounts, and system components. My first impressions of the LC-19 after removing the packaging were extremely positive. Incorporating a very minimalist design the LC-19 carries a very small footprint measuring approximately 263mm (W) x 216mm (H) x 393mm with a weight of 3kg. In typical SilverStone design there are subtle aesthetic touches of 1.0mm SECC for the chassis and brushed aluminum for the entire front bezel. The LC-19 has been designed for consumers who prefer to build a system that is easy on the eyes with power to do almost anything.
