MODTHEBOX would like to thank Celia from Seasonic Electronics
for sending the Seasonic S12 Energy Plus Power Supply for review.
Introduction:
A few short years ago most people never gave a PSU purchase a second thought, opting to buy any old generic thirty dollar unit
thinking all PSU's were the same. Even for people like myself that knew a top quality PSU was a mandatory piece of hardware
in a computer system build, high end PSU's were few and far between, not so today. There are a lot of companies that manufacture
top quality, hardcore performing power supply units in a wide range of power levels and styles. As we all know or should know,
power supplies are a key component of a computer system, and economical PSU's are the root of all things evil when it comes to
system instability and crashes. Even if you are not an enthusiast, gamer, or hardcore overclocker, a top quality PSU will save
you an inevitable trip to your local PC repair shop, which eventually that cheap PSU is going to warrant. Power supplies come
in a wide variety of styles and performance levels, whether you are running a simple web surfing system, or an all out top of
the line quad SLI gaming machine, there is a quality PSU to suit your needs and power demands. Today in the MTB Labs, we will
be evaluating the new Seasonic S12 Energy Plus 650W PSU.

The Seasonic S12 Energy Plus 650W PSU comes in a rugged cardboard box sporting a glossy blue and yellow color theme. The front of the
box indicates what wattage rating the enclosed PSU has, and also it’s 80 plus certification logo, as well as indicating this is an
energy plus model. The rear of the box highlights the key features and specifications that are broken into three easy to read and
understand groups. The sides of the box also provide some valuable information: such as the connector options, as well as the power
output chart.

The inside of the box has the usual PSU packing layout with bubble wrap being the only means of added protection for the PSU. On the
top inner flap of the packaging is a little note from Seasonic thanking you for your purchasing their PSU.

The Seasonic S12 Energy Plus 650W PSU with it’s 80 plus certification, quad 12v 18A rails, sleeved wiring, 120mm cooling fan, and
