The rear of the SilverStone Crown SST-CW01 HTPC Case has been sanctioned off into two distinct sections with the PSU mount on the very right. The PSU mount is very accommodating allowing consumers to install a full size ATX PSU of their choice to handle the demands of power hungry components. To the left of the PSU mount is the location for dual 80mm fan mounts which operate at 2050 RPM with a noise level of 21dBA. Below the 80mm fans is the location of an ATX I/O back plate which will fit most standard motherboards.

The Crown SST-CW01 deviates away from the traditional "U" shaped external shell used on most of SilverStone's Lascala enclosures. In place is a better revised solution in which the top panel is completely removable. There are a total of four screws securing the top panel and once removed allows easier access to the case interior. The overall layout of the interior is very spacious and well laid out. To the left portion of the case is the location for the external 5.25" and 3.5" drive bays. SilverStone simplifies installation of external components by making this external drive bay completely removable.

In order to appeal to those consumers who require large storage requirements, SilverStone has maximized the interior drive bay area by allowing the installation of 5 hard drives. This type of configuration is perfect for running any type of RAID configuration or multiple drive set-ups. Like the external drive bay the internal drive bay is also removable and is held in place via 4 mounting screws with 2 located on each side.
