MODTHEBOX would like to thank NZXT
for sending the NZXT Adamas Premium Aluminum Chassis for review.
Introduction:
There is a certain allure attached to all aluminum PC cases. The feeling is difficult to describe, but there are tangible
characteristics: it’s light weight, uniquely textured, and can be anodized into a variety of colors and finishes. Because
of this, most manufacturers feature models where some or all of the cases components are made of aluminum. One case
manufacturer NZXT, now features a case that is entirely made of aluminum. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be evaluating the
NZXT Adamas Premium aluminum mid-tower case.
Specifications:
The Adamas is from NZXT’s Classic line of PC mid-tower cases featuring 2mm and 3mm aluminum construction. The case is built to be
extremely tough. Other noteworthy features are the 4 included 120mm fans and finned drive cages. The following specifications were

The NZXT Adamas Premium Aluminum Chassis arrived in a box befitting a standard mid sized tower case. There is a sturdy carry handle on
top with product illustrations and specifications adorning all corners of the package. Also characteristic is the thick foam inserts
that hug the top and bottom of the Adamas case. A thick plastic bag protects from chaffing, and moisture.

Out of the box, my first impressions of the NZXT Adamas case were positive. There are shiny routered aluminum accents that highlight the
external drives as well as the buttons and front I/O bay. Included is a CD/DVD drive face place and attractive aluminum power/reset
buttons. Adequate ventilation for the front 120mm fan is also present on the all aluminum front fascia. The side features not one, but
two 120mm intake fans, and another 120mm exhaust fan is found on the rear.

One attractive design feature of the Adamas is the beveled fins on the top, bottom and front of the case. This is mostly cosmetic, as
the 3mm thick outer panels do not require the extra rigidity, and the abundance of active cooling (4 x 120mm fans) make the fins
completely useless as a heatsink. It does look very cool though and should appeal to those consumers looking for something very unique.
The power and reset buttons are in a standard location on the front of the case, as well as a blue power LED and green HDD activity LED.
