The bottom of the JAC663A aluminum heatsink is machined smooth, although lapping could eliminate the swirls. I doubt
lapping would improve the effectiveness of the heatsink, but for the finicky, could improve the finish. The retention
clips which were included in the package are designed to clip onto the top of the motherboard retention module base and
hold the heatsink into place. The clips provide the proper force to obtain the best thermal transfer which is standard
for Pentium 4 based motherboards.

Young Lin Tech 70mm fan
|
|
The JAC663A uses a 70mm exhaust fan manufactured by Young Lin Tech Co, based in Taiwan, The 70 mm fan can push about
29 CFM of air across the densely finned heatsink. The rated noise level, 31 DBa, is about par with most fans on the
market with some exceptions, most notably, the Delta.

The skiving process used by CoolJag produces thinner fins in a high density manner, as seen in the picture. This process gives the
fins one side of almost a mirror finish, while the other is rough. The advantage to the rough side is that it will
increase the surface area for better heat dispersion. The aluminum base of the JAC663A also includes 4 pre-drilled mounting
fan holes for the 70mm fan.
