Introduction:
Case modding projects can take months to plan and a general rule of thumb is that takes several key elements to produce an effective
modification. In the past at MTB, we have stressed how important it is to incorperate aesthetics into any project. Your case modification
project should not only perform good but look aesthetically pleasing as well. PSU modifications are very uncommon, and have been restricted
to store bought anodized colour housings or intrepid modders using traditional automotive paints. The Cutting Edge based out San Diego,
California has developed a brand new product for case modders who want to add additional appeal to their cases. Today in the MTB Labs,
we will be looking at the Light Blue Power Supply Mod Kit, a product which allows you to add a transparent custom housing to your power
supply.
Specifications:
The Cutting Edge Power Supply Mod Kit is currenly available in ten different colour options; ranging from purple, orange, light blue,
dark blue, neon pink, neon green, red, green, smoke and clear. Included with the kit is all the hardware required to mount and assemble the

The Cutting Edge Light Blue Power Supply Mod Kit arrived in excellent condition. Due to the nature of the of product, The Cutting Edge took
the necessary precautions to make sure that this kit was sealed with protective plastic and re-enforced with a thick layer of bubble wrap. The
kit includes an acrylic light blue PSU enclosure, 4 x strips of black foam tape, 1 x black tie wrap and a one page sheet of instructions.

The light blue PSU enclosure measures approximately 2 15/16" tall x 5 13/16" wide x 5 9/16 deep and has been designed to fit all
standard ISO certified PSU's on the market. The enclosure is made of 1/8" thick cast acrylic, which has been shaped to form the
base of a replacement top panel on a PSU mount. The Cutting Edge website warns that installing this kit will void your warranty
and adds an additional outer dimension to your PSU measuring 1/8" in height and 1/4" in width. Consumers should make sure that
they have enough room inside their case to accomodate the extra dimensions this kit will add once installed.
